2 Lakh+ Successful IVF Pregnancies: Celebrating the Families Who Never Gave Up

Last updated: June 28, 2026

Overview

Infertility can be a challenging journey, but for many families, it does not have to be the end of their dream of parenthood. As India faces rising fertility challenges, more couples are seeking medical support to build their families.

Today, Indira IVF celebrates a significant milestone 2 lakh+ successful IVF pregnancies. Behind every number is a story of hope, resilience, and determination. This article honours the families who trusted us with their journey and shares inspiring success stories that prove parenthood is possible, even after years of waiting.

Introduction

India's fertility picture has changed significantly over the past two decades. Late marriages, rising stress, and conditions such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and low sperm count are more common than they were a generation ago. India's total fertility rate has dropped below two children per woman, and natural conception has become harder for more couples than before. According to theWorld Health Organisation, nearly one in six people worldwide will face infertility at some point in their lives. India is no exception, with lakhs of couples confronting this reality every year.

For many families in India, IVF is still an unfamiliar option, something they may not know is available nearby or affordable enough to consider. That is what makes 200,000 successful pregnancies more than a number. It is proof that the dream of parenthood does not have to remain only a dream.

2 Lakh+ Success Stories. 2 Lakh+ Dreams Fulfilled.

Every one of these pregnancies came after something hard: years of waiting, tests with no clear answers and treatments that did not work. The particular loneliness of sitting at a baby shower and feeling the distance between your life and the life you wanted.

Becoming a parent carries an emotional weight that is difficult to describe in ordinary terms. When the path there has involved infertility, failed cycles and the constant uncertainty, the moment of a positive pregnancy test is not just good news. It is the end of something long and the beginning of everything else.

This milestone belongs to our 200+ centres across more than 20 states, to our team of 340+ fertility specialists and to every embryologist, nurse and counsellor who has been part of this work over the last 15 years. It belongs, above all, to every couple who sat across from a doctor and decided to try one more time.

Meet the Families Behind This Milestone

These are real people from across India who trusted us with their most personal journey.

Story 1 – From Years of Waiting to Parenthood

Priyanka (38) and Amit Gupta (45) had spent 11 years trying to conceive. During that time, they moved from clinic to clinic, spent years on treatments that did not work, and were told by some doctors to "fix their bodies first." Grief compounded their struggle, as Amit lost his mother during this period, and the desire to build a family took on deeper meaning. Tests eventually identified low egg quality and reduced sperm count, both linked to age.

They came to Indira IVF as a last attempt. The team created four embryos and proceeded with the transfer. Priyanka conceived in the first cycle. She worked through her seventh month of pregnancy and gave birth to a healthy baby boy at 8.5 months.

Quote: ‘We think we got so late... We should have done this earlier. Today, our boy would be 11 years old if we had found Indira IVF early. Now, we tell every couple to not wait for 2 years, as you won't even realise when 2 years turn into 10 years.’ — Priyanka & Amit Gupta

Story 2 – Overcoming Infertility Together

Jyotsna and Deepak Nigam from Ujjain had been married for 11 years, seven of which were spent in active treatment at different hospitals. Jyotsna's reports came back with PCOD, weak embryo development, and difficulty forming healthy eggs. After years of disappointment, they had nearly stopped expecting things to change.

They walked into the newly opened Indira IVF center in Ujjain after seeing an advertisement in a newspaper. The doctor advised a structured one-month preparatory period to bring Jyotsna's body to an optimal state before proceeding. The embryo transfer happened at the end of December. Deepak was at his coaching centre when the clinic called with the result.

Quote: ‘You are completely relaxed, and the clinic staff feels like family. Jyotsna felt unwell at night, and we called the doctor. They immediately responded and provided her with the necessary medical care right then and there.’ — Jyotsna & Deepak Nigam

Story 3 – Hope After Multiple Setbacks

Sneha Vinod More (37) had spent eight years without a child. She and her husband had tried naturally for a year, then moved to intrauterine insemination (IUI). They tried three cycles in total, none of which worked. The repeated failures affected her socially. She stopped attending family gatherings and newborn celebrations. She had begun to believe that motherhood was simply not possible for her.

She came to Indira IVF after hearing about its success rates. She conceived on the first attempt and had a healthy baby girl.

Quote: ‘I could not believe it and was initially scared when the doctor announced I was pregnant. I longed to hear these words. We always thought whoever tells us this news would be like a God to us. Now, life feels complete.’ — Sneha Vinod More

Story 4 – Overcoming Unexplained Infertility

Savitra and Shankar Kange (34) had been married for five years and had spent two of them trying to conceive naturally. They visited three or four clinics. What made their situation particularly frustrating was that no one could find a medical explanation. Two years of stress and unanswered questions followed. Savitra also had a deep fear of needles and had never undergone significant medical treatment before.

A friend recommended Indira IVF. The clinic staff stayed close to Savitra throughout the process, encouraging her at every stage. She conceived on her first transfer.

Quote: ‘Many people think an IVF baby isn't truly your own, but that's not true. It is entirely your own. The nurse who gave me injections was very supportive and kept motivating me throughout the journey.”’ — Savitra & Shankar Kange

Story 5 – Victory on the Third Step

Mitali Kandpal and Mayank Kandpal had been married for 12 years when they began their fertility journey in 2016. Their situation was medically unusual. With an embryologist in the family and reports that showed nothing wrong, they still could not conceive. Their first IVF pregnancy ended in a low beta-hCG reading and a miscarriage. The second attempt also failed. The wife spent many nights unable to sleep.

On a family member's advice, they came to Indira IVF and placed their complete trust in our treatment plan. Their third embryo transfer took place on 28 January. They received the news they had been waiting for on 12 February.

Quote: ‘Finally, it is quite simple. You should let your doctor decide what is best for you. Listen to them and shut out everyone else's opinions. People might say different things, but having a baby is what matters to you. It does not matter how.’

Story 6 – A Journey of Strength and Resilience

Tarannum from Patna had lived with infertility for 16 years. During that time, she faced social pressure that included suggestions that her husband should remarry. Her husband worked in the Gulf and could not be present in India for her treatment.

Tarannum chose to begin her IVF journey at Indira IVF rather than wait. Her husband's semen samples were frozen before he returned to the Gulf. From clinic visits to ultrasounds, she attended every appointment alone. Just before the clinic closed for Holi, she took a home pregnancy test. It was positive for the first time in 16 years.

Quote: ‘We would sit and wonder that we have our own home, a great business and a good bank balance. But who is all this for? Now, we don't have to think that way anymore. I have completed this journey from day one to delivery entirely on trust. This is proof of how well Indira IVF supports its patients.’ — Tarannum

Every Number Has a Name

200,000 is not a data point. Each of those pregnancies belongs to a couple who waited, tried, and refused to stop trying. It belongs to the moment a positive test changed an ordinary morning and to every newborn who turned a quiet home loud.

Every number in this milestone has a name, a face, and a family.
