Premature Ovarian Failure

Premature ovarian failure is a condition in which women’s ovaries are incapable of releasing a healthy and mature egg each month and/or estrogen – a female fertility hormone. It is also called Primary Ovarian Insufficiency.

Some women are more susceptible to premature ovarian failure in comparison to other women. After the age of 35, women’s fertility prowess starts plummeting. The efficacy and functions of ovaries are over the hill. That is why; women between of 35 to 40 years are more susceptible to premature ovarian disorder. Also, if there is a family history of Premature Ovarian Syndrome, women are at a higher risk of infested by it.

The most damning implication of Premature Ovarian failure is that it severely affects women’s ability to get pregnant. In very few cases, despite depleted ovarian reserves, women get pregnant but more often than not Premature Ovarian Failure cripples chances of getting pregnant.

Treatment for Premature Ovarian Failure

Hormone Replacement Therapy: It is deemed as the most effective and piquant treatment for women with premature ovarian failure. It supplies estrogen and other vital hormones to the body that is deprived of them. It eliminates things like hot flashes & night sweats and enables women to experience regular periods again.

Supplements: Women with the premature ovarian reserve are susceptible to succumb to osteoporosis so their bodies require 1,200 to 1,500 mg of elemental calcium and 1000 IU (international units) of vitamin D each day.
