Do

  1. Relax and do not fret. Ensure that you get enough rest.
  2. If you have been prescribed medicines by your doctor, continue taking them. This is usually progesterone which is needed to let the pregnancy lead to best outcome.
  3. Continue to eat healthily. Incorporate protein, calcium, vitamin B and iron in your diet.
  4. Start taking folic acid supplements.
  5. Keep away from plastics and substances that contain bisphenol A, phthalates, parabens and triclosan. These are called endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and can interfere with the child’s organ development.

Don’t

  1. Avoid sexual intercourse for two weeks following blastocyst transfer.
  2. Avoid strenuous physical activity such as running, intense workout, aerobics, and cycling.
  3. Don’t ignore symptoms that are related to ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) such as abdominal pain and bloating, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
