Let’s know how the process of IVF is carried out at Indira IVF Sultanpur centre?

A Step by step guide to IVF-
IVF (in vitro fertilization) allows many infertile couples to become parents. This cutting-edge technology, however, requires patience and perseverance on the part of the couple, stated Dr. Saswi Singh (Centre Head, Indira IVF clinic in Sultanpur).

Preparing upstream for IVF-
The IVF technique allows the meeting of female gametes (oocyte) and male gametes (sperm) outside the female body.

The first consultation with a gynaecologist specializing in Fertility-
During the first consultation, the specialist determines whether the couple is ready to embark on the IVF journey. He prescribes, at a minimum, an assessment to assess the quality of the man's sperm, the woman's ovulation, and the condition of the uterus where the embryo is to be implanted. If the medical course is already long, all the examinations do not have to be redone, but some must be repeated every year, confirmed, Dr. Saswi Singh (Centre Head, Indira IVF centre in Sultanpur).

Preparing the female body-
A month may elapse before the start of the treatment. Information sessions helps the couple to prepare. A psychologist can be consulted. The results of the checkup may lead to the prescription of drugs to prepare the uterine cavity or to stimulate the ovaries to increase the number of fertile follicles. The choice of the classic IVF technique or by ICSI (Intra cytoplasmic sperm injection) is also made, said Dr. Saswi Singh (Centre Head, Indira IVF, IVF treatment in Sultanpur).

Stopping ovulation and stimulating the ovaries-
The ovaries are put to rest for better control of the treatment. The development of ovarian follicles, normally controlled by the pituitary gland, is inhibited by daily injections of hormones for 10 to 20 days. This treatment is prescribed alone or in combination with ovarian stimulation. A control by blood test and ultrasound makes it possible to evaluate its effectiveness, stated Dr. Saswi Singh (Centre Head, Indira IVF clinic in Sultanpur).

Hormone injections to stimulate the ovaries-
Ovulation induction involves stimulating the ovaries with injections of hormones for 10 to 12 days. The goal: to mature several follicles (instead of one in each cycle) by controlling their size and development 3 to 4 times by hormonal assays and ultrasound scans. This treatment is constantly being adapted, shared Dr. Saswi Singh (Centre Head, Indira IVF Test tube baby centre in Sultanpur).

Triggering of ovulation: collection of follicles and sperm-
Punctured follicles-
About 36 hours after the injection for triggering ovulation, the follicles containing the oocytes are collected under ultrasound control in the operating room, under local or general anesthesia. With the woman in a gynecological position, the doctor inserts the ultrasound probe into the vagina with a needle attached. With his/her eye riveted on the screen, he/she punctures the follicular fluids in the ovaries through the vagina and aspirates them using syringes. The whole thing lasts about half an hour. In parallel with this puncture of the follicles, the male partner collects his sperm in a test tube, explained Dr. Saswi Singh (Centre Head, Indira IVF, IVF cost in Sultanpur).

Contacting gametes in the laboratory-
Fertilization and embryo development-
The fusion of gametes occurs under the eye of an embryologist within hours of meeting them. If all goes well, the fertilized oocytes become embryos and are usually implanted two or three days later.

Embryos Transfer-
One or two embryos are placed in the middle of the uterus using a catheter. This gesture is performed under ultrasound control during the consultation 2-3 days after the puncture.

Vitrification-
Un-transferred embryos are kept cold in a specific place for possible re-implantation later. If the couple wants, they can be used for donation as well.

A blood test 12 days later-
About twelve days later, the first blood tests are taken at the fertility clinic to check whether there is an onset of pregnancy.
